Alchemy Skateboarding is a nonprofit organization based in Tacoma dedicated to empowering youth through skateboarding. We create a safe, inclusive space where young people build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills by connecting them with a supportive community and caring mentors. Skateboarding is a powerful tool for personal growth and social connection, particularly for youth who may feel disconnected from traditional sports or social structures. Since our founding in 2013, we have provided programming in Tacoma including skateboarding lessons, after-school programs, mentorship, and youth leadership opportunities. Our focus is on serving underserved and marginalized youth, particularly those from low-income families, those challenged by housing insecurity, and young people whose needs are not met by traditional programs and services. We aim to provide a welcoming environment where every young person can thrive and feel valued. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to fostering creativity, community, and personal development through skateboarding, helping young people develop skills that will benefit them far beyond the skatepark.
