From Nuwaha Territory, Skagit County, we are Sparks Designs, a team specializing in vibrant, shimmering, landscape integrated sculptures that engage the public in learning about bioregional ecosystems. We are best known for illuminated sculptures featuring cut metal designs of flora and fauna that cast prismatic shadow & light patterns. As lead builders at Lookout Arts Quarry, a prior rock quarry turned international events center, Sparks consistently collaborates with culturally diverse innovators, builders, and community leaders to complete large scale projects. Sparks primarily hires the Femme Metal Collective, a group of femme and LGBTQIA+ artists working to overcome obstacles in the trades. Our work has been installed in 8 countries, 30 cities, and 40+ international art events. We are currently represented on Oregon's Public Art Roster, ArtsWA’s Public Art Roster, Seattle's Public Art Roster, Bellingham's Public Art Roster, and Portland Light Festival’s Public Art Program.
