About This District

PROTEST! - a visual history of civil disobedience in Seattle

Through striking photography and archival imagery, the exhibition captures defining moments when Seattle citizens pushed back, spoke out, and took to the streets — from the 1919 General Strike and 1999 WTO protests to the civil rights movement, the George Floyd uprisings, and CHOP. Together, these moments tell the story of a city shaped by collective action, community power, and the ongoing fight for justice. While you’re there, stop by the ANT Gallery to experience a contemporary art exhibition running all weekend long.
