Third Stone is the heart of Bumbershoot, housing the education program and the main festival event. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit arts and education organization. Our mission is to foster an inclusive, energized, and sustainable arts economy in the Pacific Northwest through youth education, festival, spectacle, and community driven programming.
The Bumbershoot Workforce Development Program aims to remove barriers of entry into the live-music business. It serves young people ages 17 to 25, with a focus on people from low income, BIPOC, underserved, and/or LGBTQIA+ communities. This free six-month program teaches the technical, creative, and business aspects of concert and event promotion, culminating with the Bumbershoot festival.
Third Stone aims to make Bumbershoot accessible to everyone by keeping ticket costs significantly below market rate and providing thousands of free tickets to the festival each year.
Our work is supported by funding from grants and our generous donors. Please support us today and help lay the groundwork for a more equitable and inclusive arts and music scene.
As the name Bumbershoot suggests, we invite everyone under our umbrella.
If you have questions about donations or would like to donate via check, DAF, or other means, please email us.
